About Us

We aren't blog stars. We only publicly shame ourselves this way to keep in touch with all the people we love. We recently moved to Eagle, Idaho (near Boise) where Kimball took his first "real" job. Our kids, Leif (8 yrs) and Magnus (6 yrs) and Paia (4 yrs), are keeping us busy.

Leif...busy beaver

Leif spends his time reading books and "doing projects." He loves coloring, drawing, painting, and other crafts. He loves to go to the science museum with us and see the animals. He also really enjoys helping Mama cook. He loves doing "obstacle courses" at our local playground, which he makes up. He always has someone time these to see if he "wins."

Sometimes Leif's projects get out of hand. The other day, he pulled out his toys from a toy chest and made a big pile. He was very intent on whatever he was accomplishing by doing this -- muttering to himself the whole time and looking very pleased with himself. Later he told us this was a "sell-it pile" for his yard sale. Pretty sure he got that from a book. He and Gus both like to get a baby wipe and clean the walls, the toys, and the front of the appliances. We wish we spent more time with Leif doing sports but I have been pretty sick with this pregnancy and haven't gotten out a ton.

I love your little munchkins. They have endless personality. Wish I could squeeze them. Paia is guaranteed to be a hoot as well.

Leif has been a wonder from day 1! I remember my first sight of him in his tired Daddy's arms as he held him up for me to see through the nursery window. I thought what an exotic looking baby! And now he's turned out to be a Palagi! I think Leif has learned the significance of relatives; that they reside far away and that those times together are wonderful but come to an end. It was hard to say good-bye this last time at Uncle Tua's.

How funny your comment today about Leif turning the parenting tables on you--giving you choices--but they still reflect his little self!
